AR AG Motion To Dismiss Abortion Ballot Question

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin (R) filed a Motion Friday, asking the State Supreme Court to Dismiss Lawsuit from a Group trying to put an Abortion Access Amendment on the November Ballot.

On Tuesday, July 16th, "Arkansans For Limited Government" (AFLG) filed the Lawsuit after Secretary of State John Thurston (R) Rejected its Submission of Signatures required to put the Issue on the Ballot.

AFLG maintained it followed State Law and asked for an Expedited Signature Submission Review.

In Griffin’s Filing submitted Friday, July 19th, He said Thurston was Correct in Rejecting the Submission, and that AFLG did Not follow State Law.

He went on to say that the Paperwork the AFLG turned in was Incomplete, and was Not turned in alongside the Signatures.
