Supreme Court Rules Against Trump

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled against Trump’s attempt to Stop Obama-era Regulations on Clean Water.

The rule in question was put in place by Obama and protects Small Waterways like Ponds and Streams. The Rule keeps businesses from building too close to this Water and Contaminating it.

Trump asked the Supreme Court to Indefinitely Pause any further Implementation of the Rule. Trump went so far as to sign an Executive Order that instructed the Army Corp of Engineers to “Revise and Reconsider” the Rule.

In other words, Trump wanted to put Business Profits before Clean Water.

Trump did not get what he wanted and our Waterways are safe for now.

SCOTUS’ rule tells Trump that until he can formally Repeal the Rule, it will continue to go through the Legal Process and be Enacted. So it seems like this clean Water Rule will be Safe for a little bit.

This is great news for the millions of Americans who live near Waterways or who just want to keep our Environment Safe from Pollution.

The Rule in question keeps Streams, Wetlands, Ponds, and other Waterways clear of the Pollution that many businesses would throw into them.

While this is a great win, there is no time to celebrate now.

Now you must write your Representatives to let them know that Protecting our Environment is not Negotiable. After all, Profits mean nothing without Clean Air and Water.
