Two NY Political Endorsements

Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr. is supporting Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Presidential race.

Díaz campaigned with Hillary Clinton in Co-op City to get out her message about immigration and health care reform.

"In the state of New York, in the city of New York, we know who our friend is. We know who's been here for issues like immigration reform, gun control," Díaz said. "We know the person who's been the champion of healthcare, and helping re-build with practical solutions and not just highlighting the problem." "And that's why last night we had a rally in Co-op City with all of our precinct captains, with the district leaders and elected officials," Díaz continued. "You see that all over the city and the state. On Tuesday, New Yorkers are gonna come out and vote for Hillary."

Former New York Governor George Pataki says he's endorsing John Kasich for the Republican nomination for President ahead of next week's Primary. Pataki's support of the Ohio Governor comes a day after Kasich received the endorsement of the Daily News' Editorial Board.

Pataki says Kasich can bring Americans together. "As a Republican, we need to win this race, and Governor Kasich is the only one who right now not just beats Hillary Clinton, he trounces Hillary Clinton, and he will win this race if he gets the nomination of the Republican Party," Pataki said. "He's going to command a lot of respect because he is respected by people all across the country because of his success in running New York," Kasich said.

Earlier this year, Pataki endorsed Marco Rubio after ending his own run for President.
