The German 45th Armored Brigade is Now Permanently based in Lithuania, 30 km from the Belarusian Border.
This is the First Permanent German Combat Brigade deployed Abroad since World War II.
By 2027, it will reach 4,800 Soldiers, and 200 Civilian Staff
A Third of those Soldiers are expected to bring their Families.
Germany estimates the Cost to its Taxpayers at between €6 billion and €9 billion.
