Earlier this year, the Supreme Court Ruled, that Trump’s (R) Broad “Blanket” Tariffs Imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) Exceeded the Authority Granted by Congress, forcing the Government to begin Refunding Import Duties Collected from Businesses.
The Federal Government Refunded nearly $49.1 Billion in Tariffs in 6/2026 after the Supreme Court Rulings Forced the Treasury to Return Iimport Duties Collected under Trump’s Trade Policies.
According to the Treasury Department’s latest Monthly Treasury Statement), the Government Collected nearly $495.8 Billion in Receipts in 6/2026 while Spending $616 Billion, leaving a Monthly Shortfall of roughly $120 Billion.
But rather than Spurring New Economic Activity, many Companies have indicated Plans to use these Funds to Offset Ongoing Commodity Inflation and Rising Costs from Global Conflicts, Potentially serving as a Buffer before Passing Costs on to Consumers.
