Another Lawsuit Against Trump Regime

The Trump (R) Administration has been Open and Brazen, about its Abolishing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Congress established the CFPB after the 2008 Financial Crisis to Protect the American People from Wrongful or Unfair Conduct by Big Banks and other Giant Financial Institutions. The Bureau has Recovered Billions and Billions for Everyday Americans, and it has Helped bring more Fairness and Transparency to the Financial Marketplace.

The Regime, Specifically the Man Trump put In-Charge of the CFPB, Project 2025 Architect Russell Vought (R), has Tried to Shut the Bureau by Refusing to Request Funding for it as Mandated by Law. After being Suing, the Judge just Granted a Motion for Summary Judgment, meaning He Ruled to Ordere that Funding be Requested as Required-by-Law.

In His Ruling, the Judge said the Administration “acted arbitrarily, capriciously, and contrary to law.” The Judge also said that Vought’s Scheme to Defund the CFPB, Violates Congress’s Clear Intention to Insulate the Bureau from Exactly the Kind of “transparent display of partisanship” the Regime was Trying to get Away With.

"Public Citizen" was Proud to Play a Role in Creating the CFPB 15 years ago. They are Proud to Score this Significant Legal Victory in Defense of the CFPB now.

They have Filed 35 Lawsuits, so far, Against the Administration since Trump Returned to President. And while the Justice System can move Slowly, in many Cases, like this One, they have already kept the regime from doing maximum damage, and have No Intention of Giving-Up the Fight, as Cases make their way through the Courts and as they File New Lawsuits.
