Kenya has persuaded Russia to Stop Recruiting Kenyans to Fight in Ukraine, Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi announced this week.
Mudavadi went to Moscow to Plead His Case, saying His Government was "getting a Lot of pressure from some of the affected familes."
At least 1,000 Kenyans have gone into Battle with the Russian Arm. Russian Brokers have been Aggressively Recruiting in African Countries, sometimes Promising High Wages in Factory Jobs. But when the African Recruits Arrive, they are sent to the Front.
Mudavadi said that will No Longer Happen to Kenyans, because Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had Agreed to Bar Kenyans from Russian Military Service.
Those Kenyans already in Russia will get Access to Consular Services so they can go Home.
