A New Law Nullifes All Driver's who Changed their Gender on their ID's to align with their New Identites, took Effect 3/16/2026, prompting Outrage from about 1,700 Kansans who were told to Immediiately "Surrender Your Current Credential".
Florida, Indiana, Tennessee, and Texas, have similar Laws, but Kansas is the First to Invalidate Licenses, Birth Certificates, and other Official Documents that had already been Legally ussued.
The New Law also Bans Transgender People using Bathrooms and Kicker Rooms that align with their Gender Identity and Allows Residents to Sue Indiveduals who use Opposite-Sex Facilities.
Two Transgender Kansans have asked a State Judge to Block the ID Measure un a Suit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
It is "a cruel and craven threat to public safety all in the name of fostering fear, division, and Paranoia," said ACLU Attorney Harper Seldin.
