Trump Freezes More Child Care Funds to Five Sates

The Federal Child Ccare and Family Assistance Funds are Crucial for Low Income Families to access Child Care Services, allowing Parents to Work, attend School, or participate in Job Training.

The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is the Primary Source of Federal Funding for these Subsidies.

Actions by the Trump (R) Administration have Frozen some these Funds Mationwide, Affecting All 50 States, including Minnesota, due to Allegations of Fraud at Daycare Centers.

This Freeze requires States to Undergo New Verification Processes before Accessing Federal Funds, impacting both Parents using Subsidies and Providers relying on these Payments. The Freeze is part of a Broader Effort to Ensure Program Iintegrity and Compliance with Federal Requirements.

Now, Trump's Administration is Freezing more Federal Child Care and Family Assistance Funds of 20 billion to: California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York, the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said on Tuesday, citing Serious Concerns about Fraud and Misuse in State Administered Programs.
