Sea Baby Naval Drones, developed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Attacked Two Sanctioned Tankers belonging to the so-called Russian “Shadow Fleet”, the Vessels KAIRO and VIRAT, in the Black Sea.
The Offensive was carried out in cooperation between Units of the SBU’s 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence and the Ukrainian Navy, in yet another action Aimed at Disrupting Logistical Routes used by Russia, to Circumvent International Sanctions.
According to the Ukrainian Portal Informer, Upgraded Sea Baby Drones were used, Capable of Traveling Long Distances and Equipped with Reinforced Warheads to Maximize the Impact on Large Vessels.
According to the SBU, the Two Vessels belong to an Illegal Logistics Network used by Moscow, to Transport Oil and Petroleum Products, while avoiding International Tracking.
At the time of the Attack, both were Sailing empty toward the port of Novorossiysk, where they would be Loaded with Petroleum Products.
