Drone Explosions Rock Moscow Outskirts


On December 14th Sunday Evening, Drones Attacked the Moscow Region. Residents Reported Hearing Explosions on the Outskirts of Moscow, according to Russian Telegram Channels. Explosions were Heard in Kashira, in the Moscow Region. Simultaneously, Social Media Posts Showed Footage Capturing both the Drones and the Blasts.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has Not yet Commented on the Incident. The Russian Ministry of Defense Reported that between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM Local time, Air Defenses Allegedly Shot down 56 Drones, including Two over the Moscow Region. According to the Report, the Breakdown by Region was as follows:

24 Drones over the Belgorod Region; 17 Drones over the Bryansk Region; 5 Drones over the Tula Region; 3 Drones over the Kursk Region; 2 Drones over the Kaluga Region; 2 Drones over the Ryazan Region; 2 Drones over the Moscow Region; 1 Drone over the Voronezh Region.

But No Official Comments have been made yet, regarding the Impact on the Moscow Region.

Earlier, on the Night of December 11th, Russian Media also Reported Unknown Drones approaching Moscow. In response, the Region Declared a "red level of danger". Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky, Airports, Temporarily Suspended Operations.

Additionally, on November 30th, Drones were also Reported approaching Moscow, Prompting Temporary Restrictions at the City’s Airports. Explosions were Heard across the Moscow Region, with Russian Media reporting Three Blasts in Kolomna.
