Another U.S. Institution with War Fighting Title

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (R) met with Military and Industry Leaders on Friday afternoon, to Outline His Strategy for Overhauling the Pentagon's Weapons Procurement Process. He addressed Industry Leaders, Military Commanders and Officials at the National War College. In His remarks, Hegseth detailed the Transformation of the Defense Acquisition System, in accordance with an Executive Order signed by Trump (R) in April.

The Mmajor announcement also included a striking Name Change, as Hegseth has become known for. "That is why today at my direction, the defense acquisition system as you know it is dead. It's now the war-fighting acquisitions system. And this isn't just a name change, it's a fundamental shift in how we view and practice acquisition," He said, adopting a Serious Demeanor.

The U.S. Defense Acquisition system is a Complex Framework for Procuring and Maintaining the Technologies, Programs, and Products the Military requires to "fulfill the national security strategy". Its Primary objective is to acquire Quality Equipment that satisfies Uuser needs, Provides a Measurable Improvement in Mission Capability, and is Delivered in a Timely manner, at a Fair and Reasonable Price.

Reports indicate Hegseth has Limited the Free Flow of Communication between Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of War (DoW) Experts and Congressional Members/Staff, which some Critics contend could Slow the Acquisition Process and "Hamstring" Vital Collaboration.

Hegseth and Trump aim to prove the Opposite. "At my direction, the Department of War will immediately begin implementing a comprehensive overhaul of our acquisition system," said Hegseth during today's Speech.

Hegseth began His Remarks by Quoting from a Speech that former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld gave on the same Topic many years ago. Hegseth said that shows the Changes He Envisions are long Overdue.

"For too long, our department has been hampered by a bureaucracy bogged down by burdensome and inefficient processes, paralyzed by impossible risk thresholds, and distracted by agendas that have nothing to do with warfighting," Hegseth said.
