Trump Announced New Plan to Gut Public Lands Protections

Even while the Government is Shut Down, the Trump (R) Administration is continuing its efforts to Prioritize Corporations over People: The Administration Opened-Up 13.1 million Acres of Public Lands for Dirty, Costly, and Outdated Coal Mining.

The Administration’s Interior Department (DOI) is moving to Eliminate the Landmark Public Lands Rule. Without it, We Risk Losing over 200 Million Acres of America’s Public Lands to Coal, Oil, and Gas, and other Polluting Industries.

The Administration is taking Public Comments on this Devastating Proposal, but Only until November 10th. Submit a Comment in Defense of Our Shared Public Lands.

The California King Range Coastal Mountains, Montana’s Upper Missouri River, Utah’s Bears Ears National Monument, Are at Risk.

The DOI, is Attempting to Repeal the Landmark Public Lands Rule. Without it, We risk Losing over 200 Million Acres of America’s Public Lands to Mining, Logging, and Oil-and=Gas Industries.

The Administration is taking Public Comments on this Disastrous Proposal, but only until November 10th. We must Speak-Out against their Plan NOW.

On Top of this Destructive Proposal, the Trump Administration Opened up 13.1 million acres of Public Lands for Coal Mining, One of America’s Oldest, Dirtiest, and most Expensive Power Sources, near Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National Parks, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and other Iconic American Landscape.

NRDC’s Legal Team is considering All Options to Keep our Public Lands Protected, including going to Court. But Activists Play a Critical Role, in 2023, NRDC Activists Submitted Thousands of Comments that Helped Compel the Biden (D) Administration to Finalize the Public Lands Rule.

We have stood Strong in Defense of Public Lands for Too Long to Give-Up Now.
