Musk has indicated Starlink has been Turned-On over Iran, to help Residents who had their Internet Cut-Off by the Regime.
In a Statement, the Iranian Communications Ministry on Friday, said that due to the Situation "temporary restrictions have been imposed on the country's internet," in effect Blocking Iranians from accessing Outside News During the Conflict between Tehran and Jerusalem.
This comes hours after Iranian Officials began Tthreatening to Close the Strategic Strait of Hormuz, the World's most Important Gateway for Oil Shipping. IRINN Reported the Threats, citing Statements by Esmail Kosari, a Member of the Parliament's Security Commission. The Strait of Hormuz lies between Oman and Iran.
Starlink operates using Hundreds of Satellites Orbiting close to Earth. This enables the Company to provide Internet Access in Remote Locations or Places where Ground based Internet has been Disrupted. More than 7,500 Active Starlink Satellites are in Oorbit.
