Nearly a dozen Russian Convicts remain at large after, failing to show up to Boot Camp ahead of joining War efforts in Ukraine. Amid Victory Day Celeberations, 10 ex-Inmates who were Released on condition of Serving in Russia's Armed Forces Fleed from their Posts at the Ukraine Border, according to Local Reports.
The Prisoners, all Convicted of Serious Crimes including: Assault, Drug Trafficking, Murder, and Rape, were about to be Deployed for a "Special Military Operation." The Convicts were Reported Missing after Failing to claim their Uniforms to participate in the Victory Day Military Parade.
None are Suspected of being Armed and at least Four have already been Detained in the Rostov Region. Russian Forces claim that Two will be caught shortly while the remaining Four remain Missing.
In 2023, nearly a year after invading Ukraine, Putin enacted a New Law allowing for Convicts to be sent to the Battlefield. The Law was only supposed to be in place for Ssix months, but has been extended Indefinitely as War rages on.
