Gunmen Target Putin's Officials Kills Three

Three Russian Counterterrorism Officers were Killed, when Unidentified Gunmen opened fire on their Vehicle in Magas, the Capital City of the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus.

The Attack occurred on Friday, and is believed to be part of a growing Feud declared by Chechnya's Leader Ramzan Kadyrov against Politicians from Dagestan and Ingushetia, sparking Fears of escalating Iinstability and Violence. The intended Target of the Attack was reportedly Adam Khamkhoyev, the Deputy Head of Putin's Centre 'E' Counterterrorism Task Force in Ingushetia.

This marks the Fifth attempt on Khamkhoyev's Life, according to the Baza Telegram Channel. While Khamkhoyev survived the Attack, His Three Colleagues were not as fortunate.

The Centre for Combating Extremism, a Russian Authority, is actively involved in Identifying and detaining Individuals deemed as Extremists. In the Northern Caucasus, their scope of work extends to Monitoring Radical Muslim movements

The Region is currently under High Tension following Chechnya's Ruthless Leader Ramzan Kadyrov's Declaration of a Blood Feud on Three Politicians, Two from Dagestan and One from Ingushetia. Anton Gerashchenko, a former Adviser to Ukraine's Interior Ministry, suggested that Russian Security Officials are concerned this could trigger a War between Dagestan and Chechnya.

The Relationship between the Two Republics is already tense, due to an ongoing Land Dispute that could escalate later this year.

Ethnic Chechens in Dagestan, estimated to be around 16,000, along with Kadyrov, have Increased Demands for Makhachkala to fulfill its Promise to Restore a Chechen District in the Country to them by the End of 2024.

However, this would likely necessitate the Dagestani Authorities to Expel the Avars and the Laks, who Relocated there after Stalin Deported the Chechens in 1944.

Officials in Dagestan Fear such Action will Destabilize their Country, encourage Grozny to Annex the Restored Chechen Region, and Reignite other Border Disputes.
