Greenlink West, the Transmission Project that will run through Nevada, has received the Green Light from Federal Officials.
Acting Deputy Secretary of the Interior Laura Daniel-Davis, announced Monday that Greenlink West received a Record-of-Decision from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
As part of the Project, NV Energy will build a System of New Transmission Lines and Facilities crossing through the State, from North Las Vegas to Reno.
Officials say the Project could transmit up to 4,000 megawatts of Clean Energy, enough to Power at least 4.8 million Homes.
The BLM also Approved the Libra Solar Project, a combination of Solar and Battery Energy Storage in Mineral County.
"The infrastructure projects we are advancing [Monday] in Nevada are helping meet President Biden's ambitious renewable energy goals while making communities more energy resilient and creating good-paying jobs in the clean energy economy," Daniel-Davis said in a Statement.
In addition, Federal Officials Opened the Comment Periods for Two other Nevada Energy Projects: the Greenlink North Transmission Project, a proposed 210-mile-long Utility Corridor connecting White Pine County with Lyon County; and the Bonanza Solar Project, a proposed 300-megawatt Solar Facility in Clark and Nye Counties.
