FL Senate Rubio Vice-Presidential Pick Update

When Trump said He might consider Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to be His Running Mate, Legal issues raised it's Head.

The U.S. Constitution doesn’t Bar the President and Vice-President from being from the same State, but creates a scenario where Florida's 30 Electoral College Votes wouls Not be Counted, unless Rubio or Trump change their Residences.

The expectation is that Rubio, rather than Trump, would be the One to Move.

Under Florida Law, Rubio could move, but He wouldn’t need to Resign from the Senate, to appear on the Florida Ballot in November.

State Law makes it clear, that if He becomes the VP, there is a Vacancy in the U.S. Senate, and it will be Filled only at the next General Election in 2025, so Republicans will Lose a Senate Seat.

“I think all options are on the table,” said a Source familiar with the Trump Team Deliberations.
