Big Pharma Lawsuits To Stop Medicare Lower Drug Prices

For months, Big Pharma has been flooding the Courts with Lawsuits, to try to Stop Medicare from Negotiating Lower Drug Prices for Patients. Judges aren’t buying it.

Late last month, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals delivered Oral Arguments challenging the New Program. Thankfully, the Judge expressed Skepticism about Boehringer’s Argument and the Proposed Harm the Pharmaceutical Company claimed it would face.

It’s the latest Blow to Pharma in Court, and another Sign that they should Drop their Lawsuits.

Last year, a Judge in Ohio Ruled against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Case Challenging the Medicare Negotiation Program

In February, a Judge in Texas Dismissed a Lawsuit from Pharma Industry Trade Group (PhRMA).

In March, a Delaware Judge Ruled against the Pharmaceutical Giant AstraZeneca.

Just days later, a Judge in New Jersey, ruled against Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Bristol Myers Squibb in similar Cases

AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Novartis, and Novo Nordisk, have wasted millions of dollars trying to Stop the Medicare Negotiation Program in Court.

Their Legal onslaught directly Opposes the interests of Patients and Ttaxpayers, who overwhelmingly support Medicare’s Ability to Negotiate Lower Drug Prices.
