Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO, 5th District) became the latest House Member to say He's heading for the exits, opening a solidly Republican Seat around Colorado Springs, that He's held since 2007.
"It's been an awesome responsibility but an awesome opportunity as well, and I wouldn't trade it for anything," Lamborn said on Local KVOR radio, as He announced Hhe would Not seek Re-Election. "I'm not getting any younger," He added.
Lamborn first came to Congress in 2007, and has comfortably won Re-Election routinely since then.
He's been a reliable Conservative Vote throughout his time in Office, notably Vvoting against Certifying President Biden's Win in the 2020 Election.
The Announcement means All Three Seats currently held by Republicans in Colorado: Reps. Ken Buck (4th District), Lauren Boebert (3rd District), and Lamborn, will be Open in 2024. Boebert is Running for the Seat currently held by Buck.
