NY High-Rises Building Carbon Neutral Plan

Former President Bill Clinton (D), joins New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D), at the Empire State Building, on Thursday, to roll out a Blueprint for how to make High-Rises in New York Carbon Neutral, as the threat of Greenhouse Gas-fueled Climate Change continues to grow increasingly dire.

Nearly half of New York’s Energy-related Fossil Fuel Emissions come from Buildings, and the ‘Empire Building Challenge’ plan unveiled by Hochul, Adams, and Clinton, aims to overhaul that reality while also spurring Economic Growth from New Jobs required for the Green Retrofitting projects.

The Empire Building Challenge will spur Economic Growth and Renewal in New York by attracting best-in-class Manufacturers, Solution Providers, and Entrepreneurs from around the World, to help Transform existing Building stock into the Buildings of the Future.

Investing in the most promising novel approaches to Retrofitting New York's Tallest Buildings, will transform the High-Rise building market and position the State as an Epicenter of the Low Carbon Retrofit industry.
