New York City Mayor, Eric Adams (D), appoints Nnew Officials in Administration’s effort to Strengthen New York City’s Social Safety Net.
Adams appointed:
Gary Jenkins - as Commissioner of the Department of Social Services (DSS).
Lisa Fitzpatrick - as Administrator of the Human Resources Administration (HRA).
Joslyn Carter - Reappointment as Administrator of the Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
Adams built his Campaign around making Social Services more Accessible to New Yorkers, especially those who have been Impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, and are struggling to make ends meet.
The Mayor has proposed adding to a Portal for All City Services and Benefits, to help quickly identify who in the Community needs additional Social Support.
