WA Redistricting Commission At Impasse

The Washington Supreme Court, will take over the Redistristing Process.

Last night, the Four Voting Commissioners, on the State Redistricting Commission, were unable to adopt a Districting Plan by the Midnight Deadline.

Their Statement: The Commissioners have every Faith that the State Supreme Court will draw Maps that are Fair and Worthy of the People of Washington.

The Late Release of the 2020 Census Data, combined with Technical Challenges, hampered the Commission's work considerably.

Washington State's Independent Redistricting Commission, just said, late Tuesday, it had reached a Bipartisan Agreement on New Congressional and Legislative District Lines, just Hours after Admitting they had Failed to Meet a State-Mandated Deadline.
