How NH Will Handle H.R. 1 For the People Act

H.R. 1 (For The People Act), is a Bill in the U.S. Congress intended to Expand Voting Rights, Change Campaign Finance Laws to Reduce the Influence of Money in Politics, Limit Partisan Gerrymandering, and Create New Ethics Rules for Federal Officeholders.

So, New Hampshire's House, (R-211, D-187, I-1) has Approved Legislation that could result in Separate Voting Procedures for State and Federal Elections.

The Bill is an attempt to handle the State and Local Voting Procedures, if H.R 1 Passed.

It would keep New Hampshire’s Election System, in place, for State and County Races.

The State Legislation, would effectively Require Separate State and Federal Systems for: Voter Eligibility and Registration; Absentee Voting; In-Person Voting; and Counting of Ballots.

It now goes to the Senate (R-14, D-10), and if passed, to the Governor, Christopher T. Sununu (R), to Sign.

Will the Other States do the same?

Or should H.R. 1 be changed to only affect Federal Elections?
