Ranked-Choice-Voting (RCV) will get its largest Test yet, in Utah, this Fall.
The Salt Lake City Council, on Tuesday, Voted 6-1 to Approve the use of RCV for the Municipal Election November 2021.
With the move, the City will Waive a Primary Election ahead of the November Vote.
The City’s Decision was made just before the May 9th Deadline Cities have to Notify the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, if they will participate in a RCV Election this year.
The RCV Plan was Supported by Multiple Residents who logged onto Tuesday Night’s Meeting.
