NYC Next RCV Bronx City Council Special Elections First Round


The next New York City, Rank-Choice-Voting (RCV) Special Elections is for, Open Seats on the City Council, in the Bronx's Districts 11th and 15th, on March 23rd, 2021.

The 11th District Contest was triggered by former Councilmember, Andrew Cohen’s Resignation in December 2020, after he was Elected to be a Judge in Bronx.

The 11th District Candidates:

Eric Dinowitz, Your Bronx Voice Party, 2,940 Votes, 42.04%

Mino Lora, Justice for All Party, 1,776 Votes, 25.395

Jessica Haller, New Leadership Party, 1,049 votes, 15.00%

Daniel Padernacht, Community First Party, 899 Votes, 12.85%

Kevin Pazmino, Patriot Party, 172 Votes, 2.46%

Carlton Berkley, The People's Party, 135 Votes, 1.93%

Write-In, 23 Votes, 0.33 %

Total Votes = 6,994

The 15th District Contest was triggered by former Councilmember, Ritchie Torres, who went on to Win the 15th Congressional District Seat after Representing the Council District for Seven years. Torres was Sworn into Office on January 1st, 2021.

Oswald Feliz, People United Party, 973 Votes, 28.36%

Ischia J. Bravo, We Matter Party, 738 Votes, 21.51%

John Sanchez, Community First Party, 693 Votes, 20.20%

Elisa Crespo, Jobs & Justice Party, 525 Votes, 15.30%

Latchmi Devi Gopal, Go For The Bronx Party, 138 Votes, 4.02%

Altagracia Soldevilla, People First Party, 95 Votes, 2.77%

Kenny G. Agosto, Empower People Party, 87 Votes, 2.54%

Bernadette Ferrara, Fifteen Forward Party, 74 Votes, 2.16%

Jose A. Padilla Jr., Safe & Stable Party, 57 Votes, 1.66%

Ariel Rivera-Diaz, Second Choice Party,41 votes, 1.19%

Write-In, 10 Votes, 0.29 %

Total Votes = 3,431 Votes

The RCV count will start Apr. 7th., at the earliest.
