Stopping National Grid's NY Plan B

Action Network is an Open Platform that Empowers Individuals and Groups to Organize for Progressive Causes. National Grid is pushing their "Plan B" to bring More Fracked Gas into New York Downstate by Speeding up Construction of their North Brooklyn, New York, Pipeline through Environmental justice Communities and Expanding a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Facility in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York.

National Grid is currently seeking Approval to Raise Monthly Bills in order to Build these Projects and Invest hundreds of millions of dollars every year Expanding and Extending the Life of their Fracked Gas Distribution System.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) must Approve that Rate Hike so we need to Send Thousands of Comments to the PSC Demanding they Reject National Grid’s Rate Hike for their Fracked Gas Infrastructure.

We know that the Tens of Thousands of Public Comments Submitted were a Crucial Part in Defeating the National Grid's Williams Pipeline. The Fight isn't Over though until Every Community is Safe from Fracked Gas Infrastructure.

We must Stand-Up for Neighbors who have been Devastated by Respiratory Illness and Economic Hardship and can't Physically or Financially afford any More Dirty Fracked Gas. And we must stand with the Black and Brown neighborhoods that National Grid is Building their Pipeline through without Community Consent.

The Stop the Williams Pipeline Coalition is Organized Primarily by Five Local Groups, each of which Works on a Range of Projects to Build a Better World.

- Food & Water Action

- Sane Energy Project

- 350Brooklyn

- New York Communities for Change

- Surfrider Foundation/NYC Chapter
