NY's Biggest Wind Farm


New York Regulators Approved the State’s Largest Wind Farm to date, on Land, covering 30,000 acres Southeast of Buffalo.

The $454 million Project by, Invenergy LLC, will Produce Enough Power for about 134,000 Homes, the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment said in Statement Wednesday, June 3rd.

The Approval of the 340-megawatt Alle-Catt Wind Farm comes after more than Two years of Review.

It’s part of New York’s Goal to Reduce Dependence on Fossil Fuels.

The State’s Largest existing Wind Farm, Steuben County’s Canisteo Plant, has a Capacity of 290 megawatts.

THE PROJECT

The Alle-Catt Wind Farm will boost the Local Economies of Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Wyoming Counties, and create Jobs, all while Generating Clean Energy to meet New York's growing Electricity needs.

Invenergy is Developing Alle-Catt on approximately 30,000 acres of Private Land it is Leasing in the Towns of: Arcade, Centerville, Farmersville, Freedom, Rushford, and Machias.

The Project Enjoys the Support of over 300 Local Tax-Paying Residents, crosses Three County Lines, and will Generate a Tremendous Amount of Energy and Income for the Local Communities.

THE TEAM

The Alle-Catt Wind Farm is being Developed by Invenergy's Six-Person New York Development team Located in Central New York, with Support from Engineers, Construction Managers, and other Professionals at Invenergy's Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
