WY Democratic Party Will Use RCV for Presidential Primary

The 2020 Wyoming Democratic Caucuses will take place on April 4th, 2020, in the Democratic Party Presidential Primaries for the 2020 Presidential Election. The Wyoming Caucuses are a Closed Caucus, with the State awarding 18 Delegates comprised of 14 Pledged Delegates and Four Superdelegates. Delegate Allocation is Proportional.

The State Convention will take place June 6th, 2020.

The Wyoming Democratic Party will Snail Mail a Ballot to every Registered Democratic Voter in the State, asking for their Choice for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.

The Ballot will use Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV).

Anyone who holds the Constitutional Qualifications to be President, and who States Intention to Seek the Democratic Nomination, and who Pays a Fee of $2,500, may Appear on the Ballot.

As of January 2020, the following 12 Democratic Elected Officials and Notable Public Figures are Running in the Primary:

Michael Bennet
Joe Biden
Michael Bloomberg
Pete Buttigieg
John Delaney
Tulsi Gabbard
Amy Klobuchar
Deval Patrick
Bernie Sanders
Tom Steyer
Elizabeth Warren
Andrew Yang

The Ballots must be Postmarked No Later than March 20th, and must Arrive at the Party Office by March 28th.

Wyoming is One of the few States that has never had a Government-Administered Presidential Primary.
