Easthampton, MA Approves RCV


Easthampton, Massachusetts, Approves Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV).

There were two Approved RCV Ballot Questions, a System where Voters Rank Candidates in Order of Preference.

The Vote for RCV for the Mayoral Race was 2,297 to 1,855. Voters also Approved Question 3 which will Extend the Mayoral Term from Two to Four years.

The Vote for RCV for Single Winner District Races was 2,306 to 1,840.

Cambridge is the only City in the State that Currently uses a RCV System.

Amherst Voted on RCV in 2018 and will be Implementing it in 2020, and now Easthampton will Implement it as well.
