The Independent View: Another Big Setback for Keystone XL Pipeline

Last Week, the Keystone XL Pipeline Project was Dealt yet another blow. The Ninth Circuit Court Refused to Lift an Injunction that had Stopped TransCanada from moving Forward with any Construction, putting the Pipeline Company’s Plans on very Shaky Ground moving Forward.

This didn’t happen in a vacuum, of course. For more than a Decade, Native Nations, Farmers, Ranchers, and their Allies have been Fighting and Stopping the Keystone XL Pipeline at every turn.

This Latest Victory will be costly for TransCanada, and could Delay the Project for another year.

This doesn’t mean we can Back Off or Ease Up.

This Court Decision is a Major Setback for KXL, to be sure, but the long Fight isn’t Over.
