The Finer Points of Trump's Border Wall Proposal

As I watched the Coverage of Trump's Border Wall Proposal on TV and read some News Headings, I was confused by what I was hearing and reading.

There was no mention of the Details of the Proposal, as I was reading the Finer Points of the offer.

Trump Proposal includes:

- $800 Million in urgent Humanitarian Assistance.

- $805 Million for Drug Detection Technology to help Secure our Ports of Entry.

- 2,750 more Border Patrol Agents and Law Enforcement Officials.

- 75 New Immigration Judge Teams.

- A Mechanism to allow Central American Minors to Apply for Asylum in their Home Countries.

And for the Boarder Wall, it was just 250 Miles of a Steel Barrier, which will require more Research to overcome some Problems with this type of Barrier.

Of course we need the Government Open Immediately and the Offer about DACA and the Legal Status of Immigrants temporarily Protected from Deportation requires more Development.

Temporary Protected Status (TPS), creates a Temporary Safe Haven in the U.S. for Individuals from certain Designated Countries. TPS is different from Asylum in that TPS, as the name implies, is Temporary, whereas the Granting of Asylum generally Results in Permanent Residency.

With the Courts putting DACA On Hold, and the Supreme Court already giving DACA Recipients Protection until 2020 and maybe 2021 until they Decide, it Interferes with his Three year Deal.

I was Disappointed, the Media did not fully Explain the Proposal.
