Acting ICE Director to Retire Before Confirmation Hearing

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Acting Director, Thomas Homan, said Monday that he will Retire before the Senate proceeds with his Stalled Confirmation.

Homan has been the Agency’s Acting Director since January 2017 and was Nominated by Trump as its Permanent Director in November.

But the Senate has yet to hold his Confirmation Hearings, raising concerns among Democrats last week that he would be Unable to Answer Questions under Oath.

According to 2017 ICE data, Homan presided over the Highest Number of Overall Administrative Arrests.
