Trump Hasn't Properly Funded 2020 Census

President Trump still hasn't Allocated enough Funding to the Census Bureau to ensure a successful 2020 Census.

Vital Census Data determines how Votes are Counted, how Congressional Districts are Drawn, and how Federal Assistance is Distributed to support Community Health, Education, Infrastructure, and more.

A poorly Funded Census will Result in a Failed Count, sure to Disproportionately impact Indigenous Nations, Communities of Color, and Low-Income Communities. These Communities are Historically Undercounted, and a Failed Count jeopardizes their Federal Assistance and Congressional Representation.

The Census Bureau has already Cancelled Two End-to-End Tests, or Dress Rehearsals, for the Decennial Census because of Underfunding.

With New Technology being introduced, this will be the First Census where People can respond Online, Testing, and Outreach to Hard-to-Count Communities is even more crucial for a successful Census.

Trump's 2018 Budget Proposal falls short of his own Commerce Secretary's estimate and far Short of what Bipartisan Experts agree is necessary to ensure an Accurate Count.

Last Month, Senators Cory Booker (D_NJ) and Brian Schatz (D-HI) introduced S.2366, the Census Funding Cap Adjustment Act (CFCA) to adequately Fund the Census Bureau for Census 2020.
