State Dept. Moves to Extend Enhanced Visa Vetting Process

The U.S. Department of State has requested Public Comment on a proposed Three-Year extension of an Emergency Six-Month “Extreme Vetting” program for Visa Applicants who fit a “Threat Profile” according to Consular Officers, a notice in Monday’s Federal Register said.

The Proposal would extend State Department Authority to require Visa Applicants it determines pose an Enhanced National Security Risk to complete a Questionnaire asking for a Detailed Travel, Address, and Employment History along with Family Information, Contact Information and Social Media Handles.

Now, when will the U.S. put in place a system to record when a Visa holder leaves, and if the date the Visa holder is suppose to leave, so they know immediately to start the search for them, when the don't leave?
