Ranked-Choice Voting Bill in Congress (HR 3057)


H.R.3057 (Proportional Representation Bill) - To establish the use of Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV) in Elections for Representatives in Congress, to Require each State with More than One Representative to establish Multi-Member Congressional Districts, to Require States to Conduct Congressional Redistricting through Independent Commissions, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep. Donald S. Beyer, Jr. [D, VA-8], Co-Sponsors: Rep. Raskin, Jamie [D, MD-8] and Rep. Khanna, Ro [D, CA-17].

On June 26th, 2017, the Bill was Referred to the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on House Administration,. For a period to be determined by the Speaker.
