Trump Nominee You Haven't Heard About

There has been a lot of media attention recently about President Trump's Political Appointees. But if you haven't heard, there is one who needs to be on your radar, his name is John Gore.

Gore is the nominee to Head up the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, a role that isn't the highest profile position, but is Vital to keeping our Elections Fair.

Here is the problem with Gore:

He has repeatedly Defended Voter ID Laws and rigged Redistricting Maps across the Country that help Partisan Politicians stay in power at the expense of Voters.

Here are just a few examples:

- Gore has worked to defend Redistricting Laws in Florida, New York, and South Carolina, including Maps that frequently employed a strategy of packing African-American Voters into a Single District to dilute their Voting power.

- In Florida and Virginia, Gore intervened to defend Voter ID Laws, which reduce Voting rates among African-Americans.

- In Virginia, Gore was the main Attorney defending the Map that was ruled Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court because it packed African-Americans into one Congressional District to dilute their Electoral power.

With people like John Gore in power of Federal Civil Rights protections in our Voting system, it makes the Grassroots movement to unrig Elections even more important. We need to take the Power of Redistricting out of the hands of Politicians with Ballot Initiatives that give Voters the power to protect Elections.

People like John Gore should not be in charge of the Agencies responsible for defending our Freedoms, and protecting us against the Partisan Politicians who rig Elections through Gerrymandered Districts. We have to build our momentum right now and show them we aren't going to back down.

You need to help build momentum to create Independent Redistricting Commissions at the Ballot box and make sure we can keep our Elections Fair.
