Federal Judge to Hear Jill Stein's PA Recount Lawsuit

Jill Stein is the lead plaintiff of the Green Party backed Campaign to force a Statewide Recount of Pennsylvania's Election, which Republican Donald Trump won.

The Federal case had been filed after the State Courts ruled that State law does not permit her to request a Recount unless the voters who request the Recount furnish a bond of $1,000,000.

U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond issued an order scheduling a hearing in his Court on the issue. At that hearing, Attorneys for Stein and President-Elect Trump and Vice President-Elect Mike Pence along with lawyers for the the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will make arguments for and against Stein's request for a Recount.

On December 12, a U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania refused to order the State to hold a Presidential Recount.
