Jack Martins Loses Bid to Stop Absentee Ballots in NY 3rd CD Race

In another legal setback for Republican Congressional candidate Jack Martins in the 3rd Congressional District, a Federal Court has denied his request to stop sending Absentee ballots to voters in the Queens-Nassau-Suffolk District.

Martins’ legal fight against GOP Primary challenger Philip Pidot in the 3rd Congressional District will be heard in Federal Court Sept. 14 under an expedited process, according to an Appeals Court Decision.

A Federal Judge in Syracuse ordered a Special Primary and scheduled it for Thursday, Oct. 6, a month before the General election.

“We’ve just witnessed a historic rebuke of an electoral corruption attempt that can only be described as extraordinary, even by Long Island standards,” Pidot said in a statement. “The Long Island political machine has been rolling over outsiders since I was a boy, and it had to stop; someone had to stand up to the bully.”
