Voter Suppression in Arizona and Alabama Petitions

Laura Packard, Founder at Voter Rights Action, delivering nearly half a million signatures to The United States Department of Justice on behalf of MoveOn.org and CREDO Mobile Voter Rights Action to support the voters in Arizona and Alabama.

The petitions asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate voter suppression in Arizona and Alabama. In both cases, Local and State Election officials are making it harder for people to vote.

This needs to be stopped before Election Day in November.

Over 232,000 people have taken action through MoveOn so far.

Laura handed over the signatures directly to the Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs of the DOJ, including both the Arizona and Alabama petitions.

It may take some time before we hear something from the DOJ.

But I will keep you posted as I hear any news.
