Risa Sugarman, Enforcement Attorney for the New York Board of Elections (BOE), filed this suit Monday in State Supreme Court in Albany.
The lawsuit was filed against Nassau County Legislator Norma Gonsalves for "failing to file eight mandatory financial campaign disclosure reports between 2013 and 2015.
Gonsalves and Joseph Parisi, her former Campaign Treasurer, each face total penalties of up to $28,000.
