Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign has filed petitions to run in the April 19 Presidential Primary in New York.
The campaign submitted more than 70,000 signatures.
Tom Garry, who is overseeing the petition drive, said Clinton filed petitions in Albany and in various counties Monday, meeting requirements for 5,000 signatures statewide and 500 signatures for delegate slates in each of New York’s 27 Congressional districts.
The State Board of Elections has posted Hillary Clinton's petition delegate list for New York's April 19 Presidential primary. Among her delegates are a number of incumbent state legislators, including Sens. Leroy Comrie, Martin Dilan, Michael Gianaris and Andrea Stewart-Cousins. Two Democrats likely to run in competitive Congressional primaries this year, Assemblyman Keith Wright and former Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi. The list also included, Silda Wall, the former wife of former Gov. Eliot Spitzer who hosted a fundraiser for Clinton last year.

Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders will file petitions today to put him on the New York Primary ballot. Attending a noon rally on the steps of City Hall are Working Families Party Executive Director Bill Lipton, State Sens. Bill Perkins and James Sanders as well as several other labor leaders.
New York is known for petition signature challenges.
During my time as a New York elected official, I was challenged and challenged petition signatures. Some examples of my challenges:
- Male signature from a women's shelter.
- Signatures from establishments like a gas station. I checked the location.
- Using street maps, found the address would be located in the East river.
- Signatures on a petition sheet was obviously entered by the same person.
