The South Dakota initiative for Non-Partisan elections, for all office except President, has been found to have enough valid signatures, and will be on the November 2016 ballot.
Rick Weiland, the Chair of South Dakotan’s for a Nonpartisan Democracy, says the amendment will lead to better public policy.
The Constitutional amendment will establish Non-Partisan elections and would seek to stop candidates from running under a Party title.
