On Thursday, December 17, 2015, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the NAACP-National Voter Fund will host “The 2000 Election: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead for Voting in America,” a public policy forum marking the 15th anniversary of the Bush v. Gore decision.
At the forum, voting rights advocates, election officials, and government agencies will discuss lessons learned from the 2000 election, continued barriers to voting, voting machine integrity, and preparations for the administration of the 2016 election.
The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is a coalition charged by its diverse membership of more than 200 national organizations to promote and protect the rights of all persons in the United States. The Leadership Conference works toward an America as good as its ideals.
