There are so many reasons for voter turnout declining, but this is why I will not vote this year in the New York General Election.
This is my ballot:
Borough - Manhattan
Justice of the Supreme Court – 1st Judicial District
[Choose 5]
Tanya Kennedy - Democrat
Raymond Bruce - Democrat
Arthur F. Engoron - Democrat
Arlene P. Bluth - Democrat
Barbara Kapnick - Democrat
Judge of the Civil Court – New York County
[Choose 1]
Ta-Tanisha James - Democrat
With this kind of ballot, the only voters needed to vote is the candidates.
So to save the taxpayer's money, New York should not print the ballot or open the polls.
UPDATE
166,280 of 864.523 or 19.23% voted this ballot, 45,309 or 27.25% said "None of the Above" by voting as a blank vote. My guess is they entered the poll, got their ballot, and then submitted their blank ballot as a protest.
