The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) has nearly 1 million members and growing nation-wide believe in fighting for bold progressive change.
Founded in 2009 by Adam Green, a former MoveOn online organizer and Democratic party communications worker, and Stephanie Taylor, former MoveOn and SEIU organizer, the PCCC has been at the forefront fighting for progressive change ever since.
On July 30th, 200 local, state, and federal candidates, gathered in Washington, D.C.
Senator Elizabeth Warren urged these down-ballot candidates and grassroots Democrats to run for office.
She said that local elections won in 2016 will help build a national progressive movement in future races. “This is about building a movement,” said Warren.
Elizabeth Warren kicked off the National Candidate Training Thursday morning. “I am looking out at this room,” she said. “We have governors, we have senators, maybe a president of the United States.”
State, and National candidates learned vital skills: like how to speak in public, answer curve-ball questions, organize a volunteer army, write a budget, raise money, hire staff, drive the news, and campaign on winning progressive messaging.
