ONE Organization Efforts Help Keep U.N. Level for Poverty Funded

The week of June 15th is a critical one in the negotiations that will lead to funding a new set of Global Goals aimed to end extreme poverty and inequality.

Thanks to actions by ONE members, European ministers just re-confirmed a long-held promise to spend 0.7% of national budgets on aid over the next 15 years.

That's great news, but as well as investing enough in fighting poverty, it's also crucial that it reaches the right people.

European leaders must make sure at least half of aid is going to the very poorest countries, and that girls and women are prioritized in all their plans.
