Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who is expected to formally launch his long-awaited presidential campaign on Monday, has already filed his initial paperwork to run.
A not-for-profit corporation called Jeb 2016 Inc. was registered with Florida's Division of Corporations on June 4.
Its purpose, according to the filing, is to "promote the candidacy of Jeb Bush for the office of President of the United States."
The corporation lists as its address an office on West Flagler Street in Miami, the site of the future Bush campaign headquarters.
The paperwork was signed by Raquel A Rodriguez, a longtime lawyer for Bush.
Once the committee raises or spends $5,000 in support of his bid, Bush has 15 days to file his statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.
