33rd Anniversary of World Food Day

Please take time today, on the 33rd anniversary of World Food Day, to reflect on two crucial challenges to the planet: How do we feed nine billion people by 2050, and how do we do so sustainably?

This year, World Food Day is focusing on how family farms across the world help fight hunger.  Integral to global food production, more than 500 million family farmers produce at least 56 percent of the world's food.  But this isn't enough.  We'll need many more family farms to help feed the world sustainably.
