The Republican Party of Alabama is pushing legislation to bar independents from voting in primary elections and force all Alabamans to register into a party if they want to participate in the first round of voting.
The Senate Constitution, Campaign Finance, Ethics and Elections Committee voted this week in support of SB 405 which now goes to the full Senate for a vote.
If you are an Alabama voter, you can help keep Alabama's primary system open to all voters! Find the name and phone number of your representative by clicking Here.
Please call or email your State Senator and tell them to vote NO on SB 405.
We need to stop this bill before it gets to the State House!
